Owen Industries is proud to support The Meyer Foundation for Disabilities by participating in the 2018 Owl Ride. The ride took place on Saturday, August 4th at 8:00 pm at Lewis & Clark Landing. Four of our staff members participated in the evening bicycling event. The group named themselves Iron Night Riders. The group consisted of: Ron DeBord; Vice President of Human Resources, Paul Jay; Corporate Safety and Compliance Manager, Jim Ludeman; Inside Sales and Chris Backus; Estimating.
The Owl Ride provides recreational, social and life skills programs for young adults. These young adults can enjoy an evening of swimming, games, being part of a book club or learning to cook for themselves. Giving family members a break from 24/7 caregiving.
The Owl ride course is 17 miles that takes riders from Omaha’s riverfront into midtown Omaha, through the heart of Dundee, Aksarben Village and returning downtown via Field Club.
