Steel erection has begun on The Luminarium. The premise of the new building is to tie together the riverfront revitalization of Omaha to the downtown area expanding the area being developed just to the south of the Bob Kerry pedestrian bridge. This new addition to Omaha is designed to be a hands on place for exploration of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) building blocks of the future with exhibits that are designed to change with future developments in those areas.
The Luminarium is being showcased as an anchor point to the newly developing area with green spaces to bring the whole family.
